Earlier in January, the Sixers waived two-way guard Jacob Pullen and signed former first round pick James Young to that two-way contract. The Sixers have parted ways with their other two-way player, James Michael McAdoo, in favor of signing 2016 second round pick Demetrius Jackson to a two-way deal.

Jackson, 23, was drafted by the Celtics with the No. 45 overall pick in 2016. He's spent the majority of his career in the G-League, appearing in just 17 NBA games since being drafted out of Notre Dame. After being waived by Boston during the offseason, Jackson signed a two-way deal with the Houston Rockets. They terminated his contract and signed him to a 10-day deal, but he didn't stick on their roster, averaging under six minutes per game.
Now with the Sixers' G-League team in Delaware (8-17), Jackson will add to an 87ers team that has been struggling with consistency all season. In 16 games with the Rockets G-League squad, Jackson averaged 15.9 points, 4.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds, shooting 49.2 percent from the floor and 35.5 percent from beyond the arc.
To make room for Jackson on the roster, the Sixers released James Michael McAdoo. After signing a two-way contract with the Sixers prior to the season, McAdoo played in just three game in mop-up time for Philadelphia. McAdoo averaged 8.8 points and 5.8 rebounds in 14 games with the Delaware 87ers this season.
