It's a good time to be a Sixers fan, and according to Philly.com, Sixers fans have been watching their team play pretty intently this season so far. So much so, that the team's TV ratings on Comcast Sportsnet is their best since the 2011-2012 season.

The 2011-12 season saw the Sixers make a run to the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Sixers game broadcasts are averaging around 1.9 household shares which is a 111 percent increase over the rating from last season, where the team went 10-72 on the season.

Even without Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons on the floor, the Sixers are doing an incredible job of making games entertaining again, with players like T.J. McConnell and Dario Saric doing just enough to keep their team in games and putting on highlight reels.

With the combination of the game itself along with pregame and postgame shows, the live-stream ratings for CSN are up 201 percent. The number of unique visitors at this point of the season compared to last season at the same time is up 214 percent.

CSN believes the fun that fans are having at the games also is a factor in how their television ratings go for games.

The bottom line is this: people are in love with this Sixers team, as they are finally a spectacle worth watching again.

At this point, with this team, all TV ratings can do is go up. It will be interesting to compare the Sixers' TV ratings on CSN compared to the Phillies and Flyers at the end of the season.
