Sixers to hold open practice at Liacouras Center

Ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers opener on October 26, the team announced that they will tip-off "Blue Week" presented by Independence Blue Cross. Blue Week celebrations include over a week of spirited events for Sixers fans leading up to Opening Night. One of those events will be open practice at the Liacouras Center on the campus of Temple University on October 19.

Wednesday, October 19: Sixers Open Practice, presented by Independence Blue Cross 

Location: Liacouras Center, Temple University, 1776 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19121
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: Sixers Entertainment Team Performance | 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Sixers Open Practice 
Details: In honor of Blue Week presented by Independence Blue Cross, the Sixers will host a free Open Practice for fans. Sixers Phlight Squad, Dancers, and DJ will energize the crowd with a performance prior to the team taking the court.  Sixers fans may obtain free tickets for the event at the Sixers Open Practice Eventbrite site.
 
Other events include trick-or-treating with the Phlight Sqaud & Dance Team and Sixers mascot Franklin will rappel down a 29 story building on October 21. 
 
The Sixers open their season against the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 26 at 8:00 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
