Malone spent five seasons with the Sixers from 1982-83 to 1985-86 and then returned to Philly at the end of his career for the 1993-94 season. During his Sixers' glory years, Malone averaged 23.9 points, 13.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.5 blocks per game.
He, along with Julius Erving and Mo Cheeks, helped lead the Sixers to an NBA Championship for the 1982-83 season and is considered to be perhaps one of the greatest centers in franchise history.
Malone will join fellow Sixers legends Allen Iverson (No. 3), Dolph Schayes (No. 4), Erving (No. 6) , Cheeks (No. 10), Wilt Chamberlain (No. 13), Hal Greer (No. 15), Bobby Jones (No. 24), Billy Cunningham (No. 32) and Charles Barkley (No. 34) with this honor.
