Sixers Unveil New Slogans, Announce New Uniforms for 2015-2016 Season

As the 3 p.m. trade deadline on Thursday fast approaches, and with just 29 game remaining in the season, it's time to start thinking towards next year's campaign. Today, in conjunction with Sixers' season ticket renewals opening up for current holders, the following video was released with a new slogan for the franchise: 'This Starts Now'.

If that video did not excite you enough for the next generation of Sixers basketball gaining momentum, and with the anticipation of 2014 draft lottery selection Joel Embiid finally making his NBA debut alongside Michael Carter-Williams and Nerlens Noel, perhaps this next video also released today will:

In the 15-second clip, Sixers' legends Wilt Chamberlain, Billy Cunningham, and Julius Erving, all wearing different jerseys, are featured along with the following text displayed in-between:

'Three Legends Become One. New Uniform. New Look. New Sixers. Fall 2015.'

It is not clear what exact direction the team will go with the new uniform, but perhaps 'three legends become one' is referring to the creation a hybrid jersey of the trio of classic jerseys worn in the released video.

What is apparent, however, is that the team is ready for the challenge ahead as they seek to learn, improve and grow together under head coach Brett Brown. With European star, Dario Saric, arriving for the 2016-2017 season at the latest, and with their 2015 NBA Draft selection (assumed to be a lottery pick), the future is bright for the team that has not appeared in the NBA Finals since the Allen Iverson-Larry Brown tandem in 2001.
