The Philadelphia 76ers take a trip to Miami to face the Heat. The Sixers have a little streak going against the Heat and Orlando Magic (just two games but whatever). The Sixers won 117-109 last time the they faced the Heat. However, the Sixers are on a 4 game losing streak in Miami as that win came in Philly.
The Miami Heat are actually one of the hottest (sorry but this pun was inevitable) teams in the league. They lost to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, 96-89 and with that, lost 3 of their last 19 games (!!!). Interestingly enough, the other two teams to beat the Heat during this impressive streak: Magic and Sixers. Ha! And those losses came back to back. Then again, the Sixers also lost to the Heat during that same 19 game span. You know what else is funny: The next two games for the Heat are Sixers and Magic yet again. Another losing streak on the horizon for the Heat?
So yes, the Sixers have been able to overcome the Heat and it's possible they can do it again. The Sixers are coming off of a loss to the Golden State Warriors, 119-108. The Sixers defense kind of sort of held one of the greatest shooters in history to have a career worst shooting night. Whatever. Sixers do what they do. They're cool like that. Yes, Stephen Curry went 0-11 from 3 point range.
