The Philadelphia 76ers will have a lot of new faces on the court this season from veteran sharpshooter J.J. Redick to first overall pick Markelle Fultz. Combine that with the return of Ben Simmons and a healthy Joel Embiid, you have yourselves a pretty strong core of players. Bovada Las Vegas released their NBA odds today for the upcoming season and the Philadelphia 76ers have the fifth best odds to win the Eastern Conference. They are at 15/2 odds to win the Atlantic Division, behind Boston (1/4) and Toronto (11/2).
Here’s a look at the Eastern Conference odds:
Cleveland is the clear favorite here despite Kyrie Irving joining the Celtics. Dwayne Wade has agreed to join the Cavs on a one-year deal as of Wednesday. Boston’s big three of Irving, Gordon Hayward and Al Horford have them with the second best odds while Washington has the third best odds behind All-Star point guard John Wall. Milwaukee’s young talent gives them the fourth best chance and Philadelphia sits fifth with a lot of potential.
The Sixers continue training camp at their practice facility in Camden, New Jersey through Friday before opening up preseason action on October 4 against Memphis at the Wells Fargo Center. The Sixers kick-off the regular season on Wednesday, October 18 against the Washington Wizards in our nation’s capitol on ESPN.
