Monday, the Phillies opened up their stadium, dugouts, batting cages, bullpens, and the clubhouse to full-season ticket holders at Citizens Bank Park.
Most people walked by Danys Baez's locker with no interest, headed towards bigger names such as Roy Halladay and Cole Hamels.
As I approached, I heard someone say, "Oh – that's why he is pitching so poorly!"
Low and behold:
They knew the fans were coming… in fact, Ryan Madson always puts something funny out in his locker .
Of course this does not conclude he drinks it prior to pitching, but, man – most of us don't drink at work, and those that do often get fired. A bad message to send.
The Roy Oswalt bobblehead next to the bottles is likely okay.
