Steve Mason will be sporting a new lid for the first time in game action on Saturday. On Friday, Mason unveiled a new mask featuring a Philadelphia Flyers zombie theme.

The mask was designed and created by Fran Drummond of Paint Zoo. The mask features zombie images of teammates Claude Giroux, Jake Voracek, Wayne Simmonds and Scott Hartnell as well as other Flyers-themed items and fans. Mason said that all teammates on the mask knew about the design and their portrayal.

In addition to the mask, Mason has a custom designed stick, also clad with zombie imagery.

Mason talked about the mask on Friday afternoon after practice. Video below of Mason talking about it and also Drummond's first reveal of the mask to Mason before practice.
