We will update this tread as the day continues. So keep it here for your latest news on the Eagles free agency rumors. Let's get right to it.
Devin McCourty
We reported yesterday that Devin McCourty was a top priority for the Eagles. Word has since come out that McCourty is seeking a deal similar to the one Jarius Bryd received last year, which was a six year $56 million contract. In other words, McCourty wants approximately $9 million a year:
Word is that Devin McCourty is looking for $9M per year, just like Jairus Byrd got from #Saints last year.

If the Eagles are willing to pay Maxwell $10 million plus as has been reported, I don't see why they should hesitate to pay McCourty $9 million. He is the better player of the two. And while safety is arguably not as important as the cornerback position, it is so much harder to find good safety play in this league now a days.
Byron Maxwell
We reported last night that the Eagles were close to signing Byron Maxwell to a deal that paid him like one of the top three to five corners in the league. Jason Braddock has been plugged into this situation, and had some updates regarding the run the Seahawks have made at retaining Maxwell:
Byron Maxwell still hasn't accepted the Eagles' deal in principle. Surprisingly, the Seahawks want to make another offer to him…

I haven't heard/seen Seattle's offer but it'll have to be substantial to keep him in town. Hard to imagine w/ the $$ in that secondary.

More details on Seattle / Maxwell: Seahawks original offer was backend loaded. Expectation now is that could be adjusted to sway him back.

All that being said, Adam Caplan of NFL Network, who is very plugged in with the Eagles, still thinks the Eagles have a good chance of landing Maxwell:
"@CharlesRobinson: High on Maxwell. Not sure on McCourty yet. RT @Bless3d1230: @caplannfl % that #Eagles land maxwell/mccourty" Agreed.

Frank Gore
According to Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com, the Eagles have expressed serious interest in Frank Gore.

I would be very skeptical if the Eagles sought to replace LeSean McCoy with a combination of Frank Gore, Darren Sproles and Chris Polk. Gore and Sproles will be 32 by the start of the season. And while Sproles has never been a featured back, Gore has a lot of mileage on his treads. Unless the Eagles draft a running back in the first three rounds, I do not think this is a smart move.
