The Flyers got off to another good start in Friday’s game, but the finish was hardly similar to the previous three games. For many players in Tuesday’s game, a trip to the Phantoms is likely soon enough, but they showed their skill as well in a 5-1 Flyers win over the Islanders on Tuesday night at Barclays Center.

For the third straight day, the Flyers will face the New York Islanders in a preseason game. Once again, the game is at a different venue, taking place in Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Game time is at 7 p.m.

It was difficult to find many positives out of this game, a 3-0 loss for the Flyers to the Islanders, and an injury to Travis Sanheim only added to it. 

The Islanders dressed more veterans and that paid off early with a pair of power-play goals in the first, carrying the Islanders to a 3-0 win over the Flyers in Sunday’s preseason opener at Nassau Coliseum.

The preseason gets underway on Sunday afternoon with a group of players taking the ice in Long Island as the Flyers go against the New York Islanders. The game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
