The Flyers were unable to find a higher gear and rally back from two late two-goal deficits, closing 2023 with a loss to the Calgary Flames.

A goal by Wade Allison with 8:27 remaining put the Flyers ahead again for good, as the losing streak was snapped at four with a 4-3 win over the Flames on Monday afternoon.

The Flyers faced a two-goal deficit in the first period and never fully recovered, getting the margin to within one in the third before dropping a seventh straight game, 5-2, on Monday night at Wells Fargo Center.
