For the third straight game, the Flyers faced the “win a period, win a game” scenario, once again going up against some stiff competition to start the season. After falling short last Saturday against the still-undefeated Florida Panthers, the Flyers passed the test this time.
The Flyers complete their first of 17 back-to-backs this season, as they return to the ice following Tuesday’s 3-1 loss in Calgary to close out a three-game Western Canada road trip against the Edmonton Oilers.

The Flyers, meanwhile, are 1-1-1 on a five-game road trip with very little, if any, progress made since the firing of GM Ron Hextall.
