No Call Dooms Phillies in Colorado

A controversial no call in the 7th inning, followed by C.J. Cron’s three-run homerun propelled the Rockies to a 6-5 come from behind win over the Phillies on Tuesday night in Denver.  The loss is the Phillies third in a row and their 14th in the last 19. Both teams will meet at 3:10 PM/Eastern on Wednesday in the finale of the series.

Rockies Defeat Phillies 4-1 in Series Opener

Colorado used a two-run 6th and a two-run 7th and lights out pitching from Chad Kuhl and their bullpen to down the Phillies 4-1 in the series opener on Monday Night. Aaron Nola didn’t pitch poorly but was once again on the losing end for the Phillies. With the loss, the Phillies fall to 4-7 on the season.

The Phillies offense woke up on Saturday night powering the Fightin’s to a 10-2 win over the Marlins. The win snaps the Phillies four game losing streak and brings their record back to .500.

The Miami Marlins scored three runs in the 4th and one in the 5th to down the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3 in front of 31,184 fans at loanDepot Park in South Florida.  The Phillies third consecutive loss moves the Fightin’s below the .500 mark on the season.  The Phils have lost five of their last eight in loanDepot Park dating back to last season.
