The Flyers managed a late goal, but could not complete the comeback against the New York Islanders in a 2-1 loss on Wednesday night.

The Flyers were dealt their sixth straight loss, as Ilya Sorokin held them off the scoreboard with a 27-save shutout in a 4-0 result.

One day after trading Claude Giroux to Florida, it could be the final game for several other Flyers players, as the team plays the final game before the trade deadline on Sunday afternoon against the New York Islanders.

A goal midway through the third period was the difference for the Islanders, as the Flyers suffered the loss for the 13th straight game, setting a new franchise record in a 4-3 defeat on Tuesday night.
