On nights like these, you see that the Flyers have a work issue. It’s selective, turned on and off like a switch. It’s a big reason the team is as inconsistent as it gets. That’s a team-wide problem from coaching to players that will get them in trouble in the standings fast.
Colorado outworked the Flyers for the better part of 40 minutes, before the Flyers late push ultimately fizzled into nothing in a 4-1 loss to the Avalanche on Monday night.
Brayden Schenn, Mark Streit, Wayne Simmonds and Braydon Coburn scored. . Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek each added two assists a piece. Steve Mason wasn't extremely busy but made some ten bell saves when called upon and the Philadelphia FLyers ended their four game losing streak with 4-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets in Philadelphia.
