A magical season for Isaac Ratcliffe and the Guelph Storm came to an end on Friday night in the semi-final game of the Memorial Cup in a 6-4 loss to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.
Isaac Ratcliffe and the Guelph Storm are trying to claim the Memorial Cup and through Round Robin play, Guelph came away with two wins in the three games to continue playing as the weekend hits at the Memorial Cup.
Isaac Ratcliffe, the Flyers second-round pick in 2017, is heading to the Memorial Cup with the Guelph Storm as champions of the OHL. The Storm secured the Memorial Cup berth with an 8-3 win over the Ottawa 67s on Sunday afternoon.
Matthew Strome and the Hamilton Bulldogs won two of three Round-Robin games to advance to Friday night’s semi-final. German Rubtsov and the Acadie-Bathurst Titan also won two of three games and by virtue of goal differential tiebreakers, advanced automatically to Sunday’s Championship Game.
