Flyers forward Michael Raffl will be out for four-to-six weeks with a lower-body injury, GM Ron Hextall announced on Tuesday.

On nights like these, you see that the Flyers have a work issue. It’s selective, turned on and off like a switch. It’s a big reason the team is as inconsistent as it gets. That’s a team-wide problem from coaching to players that will get them in trouble in the standings fast.

It wasn’t a pretty game from start to finish, but a strong third period led the Flyers to a 4-1 win over the Bruins in the preseason finale on Saturday from TD Garden.

There was more clarity in the Flyers lines at practice as the preseason winds down. Also, the Flyers released a statement regarding Jori Lehtera and updated injuries.

The competition for the final spots has entered the final week of the preseason, which includes three more games for the Flyers. The first is on Monday night at Wells Fargo Center, as the Flyers take on the Boston Bruins.

The goalies are the leading topic at camp now with Alex Lyon and now Neuvirth dealing with injuries. Brian Elliott is also working his way back from an injury.
