The Flyers recalled Chris Conner from the team on Sunday afternoon. And so Conner was on his way to Vancouver and into his place stepped Kevin Sundher. […]
For eight years, Flyers fans were treated to the consistent defensive talent of Kimmo Timonen. He was a mainstay on the blue line, a warrior. He never missed a game unless he absolutely had to. Which is what made last August so scary. Timonen had played through everything you could throw at the human […]
Yesterday, the Flyerdelphia staff made their picks and predictions for the NHL — the standings, the playoff teams from both conferences and the awards. Today, as the Flyers prepare to begin the 2015-16 season against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Flyerdelphia staff makes a few bold predictions on the Flyers season and tries their hand […]
With the roster down to 26, the Flyers are preparing for final cuts as the Opening Night roster takes shape. So far, it's been a successful preseason. The Flyers roster continues to creep closer to its final state. Six more players will be dropped from the potential Opening Night roster on Friday as the NHL’s waiver period opens.
The cuts continued for Ron Hextall as Wednesday came to a close. After sending Ivan Provorov, Travis Sanheim and Travis Konecny back to their junior teams, 20 more players were assigned to various locations.
Everybody’s talking about the kids. Sam Morin, Shayne Gostisbehere, Robert Hagg, Travis Sanheim and now Ivan Provorov make up a group dubbed the “Fab Five.” These defensemen are the future of Flyers hockey in a coming year. Might be this one, might not. The Flyers had to prepare for patchwork while also […]
