The Flyers announced the final 23-man roster to start the 2018-19 season on Sunday.
The Flyers announced three cuts on Sunday afternoon, bringing the roster to 24. Defensemen Phil Myers and Mark Friedman and goalie Carter Hart were sent to the Phantoms.
A lot of the bubble players will get a look in Thursday’s preseason game against the New York Rangers, the final one on home ice in the preseason. Game time from Wells Fargo Center is set for 7 p.m.

With the first four days of training camp and two preseason games in the books, it’s provided some clarity on who the Flyers third-line center options appear to be, based on both the on-ice sessions at camp and GM Ron Hextall’s comments.
GM Ron Hextall provided an update on Sanheim on Monday, and the prognosis was fairly positive. Sanheim will miss one week with the injury.
The opponent remains the same on Monday night, but the Flyers come back to home ice for the first time. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
It was difficult to find many positives out of this game, a 3-0 loss for the Flyers to the Islanders, and an injury to Travis Sanheim only added to it.
