Good news, Roy Halladay's latissimus dorsi muscle is healing a little quicker than expected:
11 Days after setting a three week timetable, Doc has already started throwing. While it is absolutely best to take it slow, it's great to see that Doc is already improving. The last time he pitched in a game was May 27th against the Cardinals. In that game, Roy left with a lingering injury after just two innings. He allowed four hits, four runs, and one homer: a grand slam to Yadier Molina. He walked one and struck out none in 36 pitches. He took the loss which dropped him to 4-5 on the season.
While the starting pitching this season seems a little backwards so far with Joe Blanton and Kyle Kendrick pitching complete games and Cliff Lee having zero wins, having Roy Halladay back early would make all the difference. With the offense being on and off, the Phillies could certainly use more help in the pitching department to control the adversary's offense.
