Michael Vick threw two interceptions and lost a fumble in the Eagles' 26-16 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday.

The Eagles used the halftime break to honor the quarterback that was a fixture to five NFC Championship game appearances and the second Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. On the field, the current Eagles' quarterback was struggling through a rough night for the offense that had paced play for the first two weeks.

Just three days removed from his best offensive game in his career, Michael Vick only completed 13 of 30 passes for a total of 201 yards and one touchdown.

Vick was also responsible for three Eagles turnovers, throwing two interceptions and losing one fumble in the Eagles' 26-16 loss to the Chiefs on Thursday night at Lincoln Financial Field.

Former Eagles coach Andy Reid and the Chiefs improved to 3-0 on the season while the Eagles and Chip Kelly fell to 1-2. The loss marked the Eagles' eighth straight at home.

The Chiefs won the toss and elected to receive. After going three-and-out, Damaris Johnson muffed the punt and the Chiefs recovered at the Eagles' eight-yard line.

The Eagles defense quickly recorded another stop to hold the Chiefs to a 33-yard field goal by Ryan Succop.

Just 56 seconds later, the Eagles second turnover led to the Chiefs second score. Vick's pass was intercepted by Eric Berry and returned 38 yards for a touchdown.

The Eagles responded with a quick strike just five minutes later. After another defensive stop, Vick and the Eagles raced down the field in 1:16 to score on a 22-yard pass from Vick to Jason Avant. The Eagles also elected to go for two and failed on the attempt.

The Eagles final drive of the first quarter ended with a fumble by Jason Kelce. Vick threw his second interception midway through the second quarter, as Sean Smith stepped in front of a pass intended for Riley Cooper.

The Chiefs added just two field goals by Succop from 31 and 34 yards.

The Eagles managed a third-quarter field goal from 29 yards by Alex Henery. Succop missed a 51-yard field goal in the second and Henery missed a 48-yard field goal in the third.

Early in the fourth, Jamaal Charles ran in a touchdown from three yards out to make it a two-possession game.

The Eagles quickly countered, needing just five plays and 1:21 to score as LeSean McCoy scored on a 41-yard touchdown run.

McCoy exited the game late in the second with what appeared to be a knee injury. He walked off the field but underwent x-rays and returned early in the third.

It would be another remarkable performance from McCoy. After managing just 53 rushing yards against the Chargers on Sunday, McCoy exploded for 158 yards on 20 carries, bringing his season total to 395 yards.

The Chiefs added three more points late in the game on Succop's fourth field goal, this one from 38 yards.

For a change, it was the Eagles defense playing a key role. Five different players recorded sacks, including Vinny Curry playing in his first game of the season.

Mychal Kendricks led the team with nine tackles and Fletcher Cox made the most of his four tackles, including two for loss of yardage on the play.

Alex Smith was certainly no Philip Rivers and the Chiefs offense was nothing compared to the Chargers. However, Alex Smith kept the chains moving regularly, completing 22 of 35 passes for 273 yards and no interceptions. It was the first time since the season finale against the Giants last season that the opposing team did not turn the ball over against the Eagles. The Eagles had five turnovers.

Charles rushed for 92 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown. Smith's top target receiving was Donnie Avery, who caught seven passes for 141 yards.

The Eagles secondary did a nice job covering the Chiefs top receiver Dwayne Bowe. Bowe finished with just one catch for four yards.

DeSean Jackson was relatively quiet as well as the Chiefs defense did a good job keeping him contained. Jackson did make a catch for 40 yards along the sidelines, but only managed three catches in the game for a total of 62 yards.

The Eagles get to sit on the loss for 10 days as they are off until their Week 4 game against the Denver Broncos in Denver on Sunday, Sept. 29.
