It sounds like veteran defenseman Kimmo Timonen will be making his return to the lineup this weekend.
Timonen ruled himself out for the Flyers two road games this week, the 4-1 loss in Carolina on Tuesday and tonight's game against Toronto. He would not close the door on a Saturday return until after taking skates with the team during the team.
"If they want me to play Saturday," Timonen said, "I'm good to go."
Timonen, who turns 40 on March 18, has missed the entire season as he recovered from blood clots in his lungs and leg. Whenever Timonen returns to the ice, it will mark his 16th NHL season. In 1,092 career games, Timonen has 117 goals and 454 assists for 571 points.
The Flyers host the Rangers on Saturday night at 8 p.m.
