According to the Inquirer's Matt Gelb, the Phillies are "expecting a postponement" for tonight's game.
The weather forecast for New York is much like Philadelphia: strong winds, strong thunderstorms, and heavy rain. CBS New York reports:
Gelb says that Thursday would be the day the teams play instead. The shame of that is that several Phillies have signings scheduled in the Philadelphia area. I know I was planning to see Erik Kratz.
UPDATE: It's official. The game is postponed and the Phillies and Mets will play Thursday at 7:10 p.m., reports our old friend Andy Martino, now a Mets writers.
Let's hope that Citi Field is more prepared with the tarp for the wind than this day:
