One week ago, the Eagles decided to cut ties with Trent Cole, one of their longest tenured players. Yesterday, on the eve of free agency, the Eagles re-signed Brandon Graham to a four-year deal, potentially securing Cole's replacement on the defensive side of things.
Since Cole's departure, he had visited both the Buccaneers and the Browns, but today it was announced that the former Eagle defensive end will reportedly be joining the Indianapolis Colts, the team that Frank Gore picked over Philadelphia.

Shortly after Rapoport's tweet, Howard Eskin of CBS Sports confirmed on Twitter that Cole will sign a two-year deal. All deals can become official once free agency begins at 4pm on Tuesday afternoon.
In a very recent development, Adam Caplan of ESPN says that sources tell him Trent Cole doesn't have a deal with the Colts and that other teams remain interested.

Within the last few minutes though, ESPN's official Sportscenter Twitter account tweeted that Cole plans to sign in Indianapolis.
Cole ranked as the 19th best outside linebacker in a 3-4 scheme in 2014 according to Pro Football Focus.
Todd Herremans, who was also cut by the Eagles, agreed to a deal with Indianapolis on Sunday worth up to $3.5 million for one season.
