With the final seconds ticking down until Spring Training, teams are making some last minute signings in an effort to patch up all areas of their club. Today, the Seattle Mariners selected two former Phillies pitchers to fill their voids. Randy Wolf, who pitched for Philadelphia from 1999 to 2006, and Zach Miner, a short-time bullpen piece in 2013, each reached an agreement with the West Coast squad.

Miner, who contributed both starting and relief appearances to the end of the 2013 season, received a minor league deal that includes a Spring Training invite. The Scott Boras client will receive a $750,000 payday should he make the major league club on Opening Day. There will also be an opt-out clause that becomes effective in the middle of June. Both of these contract options come courtesy of Chris Cotillo.

The more notable name, Randy Wolf, also received a minor league deal with an invite to training camp, according to Ryan Divish of Seattle. A fan favorite and honoree of the Wolf Pack, Wolf is attempting to resurrect his career after Tommy John surgery ruined his chances of a 2013 appearance. 2012 was already a down year for the left-hander, so a comeback will be relatively difficult.

Both pitchers are into their thirties, and neither is guaranteed a spot on the Mariners' roster. However, if they were to each succeed, the Mariners travel to Philadelphia August 18-20. Then, it may be Randy Wolf pitching to Bobby Abreu and Marlon Byrd…
