When the Philadelphia Eagles claimed former Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Stephen Morris on Sunday, it was expected that he would be the team's third-string quarterback.
Perhaps that isn't the case.
It's been a busy week of QB news for the Eagles, who tried out the recently cut Josh Johnson & Thad Lewis Tuesday.

Unlike both Johnson and Lewis, Morris is eligible to play on the practice squad. Thus, the Eaglescan add another quarterback to the roster and place Morris on the practice squad.
On the other hand, maybe the Eagles were just testing out what the two veterans can bring to the table. This is the second time that Lewis worked out for the Eagles, as he worked out for the team at one point during last season.
Additionally, the Eagles just got the chance to evaluate Johnson in live action during the Eagles-Jets preseason finale. He finished passing 7-for-12 for 82 yards. He also ran the ball seven times for 76 yards.
Maybe the Eagles will end up signing a veteran quarterback, but only time will tell.
