It was reported late last night that Phillies veteran righthander Roy Halladay would be making his first start in three months after missing time on the DL with an injured shoulder. Halladay has been activated and in response for the roster move, Tyler Cloyd has been optioned to Triple-A Lehigh.
Cloyd pitched five scoreless innings in relief during last night's 18-inning loss to the Dbacks. Cloyd allowed two hits, walked five and struck out four hitters.
Cloyd will most likely be back up with the club in one week's time when the rosters expand.
The Phillies have also selected JC Ramirez's contract from Triple-A as well as sending down Luis Garcia
