Aaron Harang gets a shot at redemption this afternoon as the Phillies try to avoid yet another sweep at the hands of the Brewers. For the most part, Harang has been horrible since his return from the DL, reaching a whole new low earlier in the week in Arizona where he threw 5.1 innings of eight run ball. What the team hoped would be a nice trade chip after a strong April almost seems like a candidate for early release. What's working in his favor was his clunker wasn't even close to the David Buchanan disaster that followed the next night.
Taylor Jungmann is going for the Brewers and looks to continue what has been a really nice rookie campaign. He faced the Phillies back and June and put up a quality start, throwing six innings where he allowed two runs. Jungmann is coming off his worst start of the season where he failed to make it out of the third and allowed four runs (only two earned).
After a nice return to the plate, Chase Utley rests today in favor of Cesar Hernandez who is at second. Andres Blanco is holding down third for the injured Maikel Franco.
