This morning, Philadelphia Flyers founder and chairman Ed Snider passed away after battling cancer.
Prior to this afternoon's Philadelphia Phillies home-opener against the San Diego Padres, the Phillies honored the memory of Snider by holding a moment of silence. John Clark of Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia provided an excellent video of the touching moment.

Snider, who also previously owned the Philadelphia 76ers, was an icon in Philadelphia and his passing represents the end of one of the most influential lives in Philadelphia sports.
