The IIHF World Championships are now through four days of the preliminary round that will determine the eight teams that will advance to the quarterfinals next Thursday.

Canada and Russia both remain unbeaten in the tournament through three games. Latvia also has yet to suffer a loss after playing in two games. USA and Sweden currently hold the final two spots in Group A. Switzerland, Czech Republic and Finland hold the final two spots in Group B.

Here's how the Flyers 10 players in the tournament are performing thus far.

Canada

Claude Giroux – The Team Canada captain have five points in three games. Giroux scored his only goal of the tournament in Canada's 6-0 win over Belarus on Monday while adding an assist. Giroux had one assist in Canada's 7-2 win over Slovenia on Sunday and two assists in their 4-1 win over Czech Republic on Thursday.

Wayne Simmonds – The Flyers leading goal scorer in the 2016-17 season has not factored into the scoring in the tournament. Through three games, Simmonds has just one assist, coming in the 7-2 win over Slovenia.

Brayden Schenn – Schenn's path has followed Simmonds. Through three games, Schenn is still without a point and is a plus-one with six shots on goal. In Monday's 6-0 win over Belarus, Schenn served as the extra forward.

Travis Konecny – The 20-year-old has been quite the presence in the tournament so far. Playing on a line with Brayden Point and Mitch Marner, Konecny has six assists in the three games. He has yet to score a goal, but not for a lack of trying, as he has eight shots on goal.

Sean Couturier – After missing Canada's first two games with minor injuries, Couturier made his tournament debut in the 6-0 win over Belarus on Monday. Couturier had two shots on goal in the game and did not record a point.

Czech Republic

Jake Voracek – Voracek is serving as the captain for the Czech team and has produced with one goal and three assists in the first three games. He did leave the third game early, suffering an injury against Finland on Monday, playing just 5:31 before exiting after taking a high hit to the back of the neck from Oskar Osala. Voracek's status for the remainder of the tournament is unknown.

Radko Gudas – It's been a pretty good tournament for Radko Gudas as well, aside from throwing a haymaker at his Flyers teammate and captain Claude Giroux. Gudas has two goals in the two games since the Czech's 4-1 loss to Canada, including one in Czech Republic's 4-3 win over Finland on Monday.

Finland

Valtteri Filppula – Finland has just one win in three tournament games, but still holds one of the top four spots in Group B at the moment, aided by captain Valtteri Filppula. In three games, Filppula has one goal and two assists, including Monday's two-point game against Czech Republic.

Russia

Ivan Provorov – One thing you seem to expect from Ivan Provorov is consistency. It doesn't get more consistent than an assist per game for Russia, who has handily won their first three games of the tournament.

France

Pierre-Edouard Bellemare – Bellemare scored a goal and added an assist in France's 5-1 win over Finland on Saturday, which are his only points through two games in the tournament. But he made headlines for his classy move, refusing the Player of the Game award for France's goalie Florian Hardy, who made 42 saves in the win.
